Mountain Climbing in Uganda
The Rwenzoris have for centuries been the cause of speculation, mystery, myth and fable. In the past it was believed that from the mountain flowed the legendary source of the Nile.
These mist covered snow capped mountains harbor 195 species of birds so far recorded and numerous mammals. You will experience the results of Afro- Alpine gigantism- forests of giant heather, groundsel and lobelias up to 10 times their normal height. Above all you will encounter the mountain itself, it’s snowy peaks towering over 5000 meters above the equatorial jungle.
