Low Budget Safari Uganda: 15 Days

 

 

Day 1
Early morning meet and greet before we head to Murchison falls. Have lunch enroute then proceed to the park through kicumba nyumba gate. Arriving in the afternoon relax at
the park then have dinner and overnight in one of the camp sites in the national park.

Day 2
Take an early morning game drive via the Nyamusika plateau and Albert track. You may be able to see elephants, lions, giraffes and buffalos, hartebeests among other. Then proceed to the north eastern part of the park and you will be able to view animals like lions, leopards, antelopes, kobs, hartebeest, giraffes, chimps and monkeys among others. In the evening return to the camp site for dinner and overnight
After lunch proceed for a lunch cruise along the Victoria Nile up stream to the base of the forest. Enroute you will be able to see hippos, crocodiles, basking along the river banks.Waterbarks and a variety of bird species including African fish eagles and the rare shoebills among others.


Day 3
Early morning go for forest walk in kanijo pabidi or Rabongo forest and you be given a guide who will provide detailed explanations about primates and other forest floral and fauna to make your walk enjoyable and memorable. This is excellent for bird watching and viewing primates at a close range. In the evening you will set off for Masindi town for dinner and overnight at New court View Hotel.

Day 4
After early morning breakfast head west to the kibale national park in fortportal. Its a very long journey you will arrive there in the evening have a break and relax then have dinner and overnight in Chimpanzee guest house.

Day 5
Early morning set off for chimp tracking and you will be able to see other wild life like black and white Columbus monkeys, bush babies, bush pigs, grey cheeked monger bay
among others. Return to the guest for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Early morning set off for nature viewing and you will be surprised what the national park has got to offer. After lunch head to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving early evening
relax and have dinner as well as overnight at the student center guest house.


Day 7
Early morning set off for the game drive and you will have an opportunity of seeing a variety of wild life including elephants, baboons, buffalos, warthogs, waterbucks, impalas, leopards, lions and the exclusive giant forest hog among others. In the afternoon we will take you for launch cruise on kazinga channel which reveals a stunning panorama of Lake George and Edward amidst game plains.
You will be able to see birds like grey Loraine picking fishers, fish eagles sparuang grover palm nut voulcher cattle eagle lets thicknee yellow plowed stock laden ibis grey headed king fisher and African jacana among others. In the evening return to the guest house for dinner and overnight.

Day 8
Early morning set off to the baboon cliff with an elevation of 900-1200 ranging to 5000 meters above the sea level. This open depression with savanna vegetation and has got primates including elephants among others. Proceed to imaramagambo forest for a nature walk and you will be able to visit the great blue lake and then proceed to kyasaduka trail to see monkeys and baboons visit the colonies of core dangling fruit bats and hunters cave among others. Return to the guest house for dinner and overnight.

Day 9
Early morning set off and head to Bwindi impenetrable national park passing through Ishasha and you will have an opportunity to see the tree climbing lions enroute.you will
arrive in Bwindi late in the evening hence have dinner and overnight in buhoma community rest camp.

Day 10
After early morning breakfast have a briefing from the tour guide then set off for gorilla tracking. This activity can last the whole day or just a few hours depending on where the
gorillas will be. The climax of the trip is when the endangers gorillas a viewed from a close range. Therefore it’s had to estimate how long it may take trekking. After trekking take some rest have dinner and overnight at the camp site.

Day 11
Early morning go for the self guided nature walk along one of the rivers of the national park and also visit the water falls and if you are lucky you maybe able to see gorillas on
your way to the water falls. Other animals that can be viewed include monkeys and birds among others. Another alternative would be going for the village walk and here you will be amazed at what the village has got to offer. You will be able to learn how alcohol can be brewed from bananas, visit the crafts shops around, visit the butterfly loop, visit a
traditional healer, and visit the batwa dancing community among others. Return to the camp site and prepare to leave the park. After lunch we will proceed to kabale to visit lake bunyonyi.you will arrive in the evening relax and have overnight at Bushara Island.

Day 12
In the morning have boat ride on this lava dammed lake and visit other islands. There is so much for the lake to offer, the scenery its self is breathe taking. Actually as you head
to this lake depending on the weather you maybe able to see mount muhavura from a distance.

Day 13
After breakfast head to Lake Mburo national park which has got dry hills rocky out crops bushes thickets open and wooded savanna. Forest lakes and swamps are a home of floral and fauna including 68species of mammals and 313 species of birds. Arriving in the evening and you can preferably go to the lake to relax and maybe have a swim. In the evening go to the Banda for dinner and overnight. These bandas are built in such away to blend the environment.


Day 14
Early morning set off for a game and you will be able to see animals like zebras, hyenas, jackals, buffalos, elelands, warthogs, waterbucks to mention but a few. In the afternoon go for the boat ride, sun bathing and swimming in the lake. Return to the bandas for dinner and overnight.

Day 15
Early morning set off back to Kampala and you will be able to visit the equator line and take some time to relax .proceed and make another stop over at Mpambire Royal drum makers arriving in Kampala early evening.

In case you are 4 people the cost will be USD 2382 per person for a minimum of 2 people sharing a room. In case you are 6 people the cost will be Usd 2134 per person for a minimum of 2 people sharing a room.
