Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda


This park is a home to widest variety of mammals and bird species than any game reserve in the world. The park covers 1978 sq. km. and is located in the south western part of the country, just about six hours drive from Kampala.


The park boasts of over 100 recorded species of mammals that includes tree climbing lion, elephants, antelopes, hippos, wild cats to mention but a few. The park also boasts
of over 606 bird species.

The must visit points of the park include the game drives where you will meet face to face with a number of wild games grazing in the savannah grace land, these will include the Elephant, the Uganda antelopes, buffalos and you will also meet face to face with lions hunting.


The Kazinga Channel you will be treated to a wide bird life along the shores of Lake George and Edward. Here you will meet the birds mixing with mammals.


Further in the southern part of the park in Ishasha sector you will meet the tree climbing lions gazing at you from the highest branches in the trees.


The kyambura gorge is a home to the habituated chimps while the Maramagambo forest is a home to different types of monkeys, bat caves with the biggest snakes you have ever seen.
