Many of the islands are uninhabited except for a few fishermen so their forests and swamps are ideal habitats for birds.  Our clients are granted a tribulation of making a choice on which beach hotel  to stay in whilst  at  the Ssese Islands.  The wildlife on the islands includes hippos, crocodile, sitatunga antelope, waterbuck, chimpanzees and monkeys but thse depend on where you stay. The islands can be reached by a nine-hour steamer trip from Port Bell or a 45-minute ferry trip from Bukakata or Entebbe.
