8 Days Uganda Highlights. Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi National parks .
Day one; Kampala to Murchison falls
At around 7 am you will leave Kampala for the largest and most beautiful national park in Uganda Murchison falls National Park. The drive will take you to stop at the Rhino sanctuary and visit the sanctuary before you proceed to Masindi to reach in the early afternoon hours. You will then proceed to reach the park at around 2pm. You will have late lunch and then later go visit the top of the falls. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Two: Game drive - Boat ride on the Victoria Nile
Rise up in the morning before dawn to go for a game drive in the park searching for predators and nocturnal animals like the hartebeests, leopards, leopards, Hyenas, elephants, giraffes, Lions and many birds. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride to the bottom of the falls to watch out for game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birds at the shores. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Three: Murchison Falls- Fort portal Kibale National park.
Depart Murchison Falls national park at 6am to Kibale National aprk. Be fore warned that this is a long drive and therefore you should be prepared for it both psychologically and physically. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Four : Chimpanzee trekking /transfer to Queen Elizabeth
You will transfer to the park headquarters before 8 am to be briefed about the trek and then you will walk along the different treks searching for chimpanzees. On meeting the chimps you will spend 1 hour with them and then return to the lodge. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Five: Game drive / Boat Ride
Wake up in the morning before dawn, you will go for a game drive in the park searching for game especially predators and nocturnal animals. Later in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on Kazinga channel. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Six: Drive to Bwindi
In the morning after breakfast you will drive through the Ishasha sector to transfer to Bwindi park. The drive through the Ishasha sector might reward you with tree climbing lions and other game like the Uganda kob. You will then drive to Bwindi to reach the park in the evening. Overnight at either luxury or budget accommodation.
Day Seven ; Gorilla Tracking and trekking.
Before 8 am you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers, where they will give you a brief history of the park and then you will join others to track through the forest searching for the gorillas. On reach the last spot where they were left the previous day, you will start trekking them, and when you meet them, you will be allowed to spend just one hour following them watching them and taking photos. Please note that flashing while taking photos is not allowed therefore carry a flash free camera. After spending one hour with the gorillas you will then walk back to your hotel/ lodge. If you are track gorillas the things you should carry for your trip include, a hat, sun cream, long trousers, hiking boats, a rain coat, and of course a camera.
