9 days Uganda Tour

Day 1: To Bwindi National Park.

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel  for Bwindi . Take a stop over at the Equator then proceed.
The drive takes you through the picturesque sceneries of the Western part of Uganda which is sometimes known as the Switzerland of Uganda. Have lunch en route and then continue to the park passing through the gorgeous rising and falling scenery of the Switzerland of Uganda! On the last hill of the countryside is the enormous plane of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo the Virunga volcanoes overshadow the view. In the North is the Northern cult of Bwindi national park and in the south is Mgahinga and the Southern part of Bwindi. The drive might be long but is rewarding with beautiful scenery and artistic African exquisiteness.
Dinner and Over night at Buhoma Homestead/ Gorilla resort Camp/ Buhoma Community bandas if you are tracking gorillas in the main part of Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Safari
Well equipped with your tracking gear, packed lunch, drinking water, you will assemble at the starting points for briefing from the rangers about gorilla tracking the great escapade and encounter!  The time taken to come across these gentle giants is erratic for it may take1-10 hours. Nevertheless, on encounter, one may be forced to say, it is a worthwhile!!! After the adventure a certificate awaits the successful tracker. The day is not easy at times and it may be backbreaking and irksome whilst trekking but appealing after encounters.  Dinner and over night at Your Lodge.

If you tracked gorilla in the Nkuringo family, You will then be transferred to Kabale for dinner and over night at Arcadia Cottage.

After early break fast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. You will have a drive through Ishasha sector in search for tree climbing lions. A game drive en route may be rewarded with view of waterbucks, Buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. Arrive early for lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. Have lunch. In the evening drive to the Lake Katwe salt areas to experience local methods of salt mining as well.  Dinner and overnight at Luxury -Mweya safari Lodge / Jacana Safari lodge/Mid Range – Hippos camp/ Basic Institute of Ecology

Take a cup of coffee get on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see Lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, mangoose, waterbucks, Kobs, and lots many small animals and birds. After the game drive, drive back to the lodge for Mid morning breakfast as you wait for lunch lunch. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day5 ; Chimpanzee tracking- Kyambura Sector

After a cup of coffee, with your packed breakfast and lunch,  drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk to search  for the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. Expect also the hyena, giant forest hog, and Uganda safari lion. The rangers will provide you with a walking stick if you need one.  In the afternoon after  lunch  transfer to  Fort portal for your dinner and over night at Ndali Lodge/ Mountains of the moon/ Rwenzori View Guest House / Kanyankyu Tourist  Centre .

Day 6 Chimpanzee tracking
Assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for a morning chimp tracking and afternoon swamp walk for a variety of primates like the Vervet Monkey, L’hoest Monkey, Black and white and the Red colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboons and many others.  In the afternoon, you will be taken for a nature walk around Bigodi swamp to view the various bird species in the park as wait for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7 ; Transfer to Murchison Falls National park.
Very early in the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Murchison Falls through Hoima.   The drive will go through the Verdant country side of Fort portal lunch en route then through the Albertine Escarpment.   On arrival, you will visit the top of the falls and then after dinner and over night at Paraa safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Camp/ Sambiya River Lodge / Red Chillis Camp.

Day 8  Launch cruise on the Nile

Go for an early morning game drive on the Northern Bank of the Murchison falls National park   You are able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffe, elephant, antelope, lion, and the Uganda Kob. Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast, as you relax to wait for Lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the Bottom of the roaring falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, ducks, cormorants, bee-eaters, skimmers, kingfishers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

You will  be taken back to Kampala, Lunch en route.
